Johannes Riis


​Johannes' main interest is film theoretical and has long been focused on film acting and the power of performances for affecting our experience of moving image narratives. He is the author of Spillets kunst (2003) on emotions and nonverbal meaning, and has contributed to encyclopedias, anthologies, and journals on this and other issues. Currently he is working on a book-length study of film acting styles between 1920 and 1980, addressing American, European and Asian actor-director collaborations. Johannes' is particularly interested in cognitive film theory and has attended the SCSMI conferences for years. A secondary interest is that of media industries, in particular issues of distribution and ownership, and has a particular liking for short film narratives.

Johannes has been teaching a course on film theory and analysis, as well as institutions and organizations, including a course concurrent with students' internships. Since 2005 he has been a member of the board at Society for Cognitive Studies of the Moving Image, since 2017 on the board for Carl Th. Dreyers Mindefond.

JOSEPH

Joseph Valentino Palau has been working in the entertainment industry for many years, as production assistant, assistant Director, Director and Producer. The American native has worked in Los Angeles, New York, and Denmark. He has a BA in Entertainment business from Full Sail University, two certificates in Film making, and a Masters in Film and Media, at Copenhagen University.  Joseph has founded Through The Eye Productions in Denmark. The company has produced a 18 episode web series titled Perfect Pair. They currently have several projects in development from short films to features. He is also a screenwriter, director , and producer for more projects in which you can find on IMDB.

REGINA

Regina Mosch is a documentary and experimental filmmaker originally from Germany but at home in a variety of places that have influenced her creative products in many ways. After her BA in Film & Media in Stirling (Scotland) and an exchange semester at UMass, Amherst (USA), she now lives in Copenhagen and now holds a MA in Film & Media Studies. With New York based production designer Simon Schabert, she co-founded the artists’ collective NoMilk NoSugar that takes on experimental film and theatre productions. ‘Schwarzer Kaffee‘, shot in Stuttgart (Germany), won ‘Best Experimental Film‘ at the Underground Short Film Festival, Cork (Ireland) and was screened at the International Film Festival Pune, India. Their most recent production ‘What To Do With Life‘ is an experimental documentary about young artists in New York City and was in the official selection of the Monthly International Festival in Copenhagen. Other works include short documentaries (‘Seeing the World Again’, 2015; ‘Change and Growth and Stirling University’, 2016), narrative shorts (‘Of Humans and Nature’, 2016; ‘Bullets’, 2015) as well a number of radio drama / documentary productions.Together with Joseph Palau, she worked on the web series Perfect Pair as Assistant Director and will produce a feature film in spring 2017.

MARTIN

Martin Møller Kloock is an MA in Film & Media Studies from Copenhagen University. He lived all of his life in Aarhus, before moving to Copenhagen in 2016, and meeting the team on the set of Perfect Pair. Martin has an education as a multimedia designer and a BA in Media Studies from University of Southern Denmark. Martin has worked on several conventions and festivals. He was part of the event team of SVScon, a convention for Japanese popculture, from 2011 to 2015, creating and organizing events for kids, teenagers and young adults. He was a volunteer for CPH:PIX in 2016, 2017 and 2018, wardrobe coordinator at Copenhagen Comics 2017, worked on genrefilm festival Blodig Weekend in 2019 and production assistant on Perfect Pair. His work focus is on film distribution and, as part of his MA, was an intern for the distribution company Camera Film.
